After Eight is the official a cappella subset of the Cornell University Chorus. Women who are interested in After Eight must first audition for the Chorus. Once admitted, any chorus woman may audition for membership into After Eight. Information for this year's Chorus auditions can be found here.
Our auditions are done in a two stage process. The first round tests range, pitch, and overall musicality. Please come prepared with a short solo! In the callback round, auditionees learn a small section of an After Eight song and sing it with current members. This allows us to hear your ability to blend and pick up music quickly, as well as your performance enthusiasm. We look for women with a solid musical background who also know how to have fun and get a little crazy!
