Meet the Jugglenauts |
||
Russel Davenport '08 Russ began juggling when he was ten years old to help his hand eye coordination. Besides long walks on the beach, he enjoys performing and the continuous progress involved in learning new moves. Russ developed after school juggling programs for local school systems while in high school. Mikael Yisrael '10 Mikael aka Myx began juggling in the 3rd grade through a program called The Big Apple Circus Beyond the Ring offered by his elementary school. He then went on to perform with The Big Apple Circus Expert Student Troupe. After a few years away from juggling he hopes to have a fresh start and learn new skills with The Jugglenauts and the Cornell Juggling Club. Nicholas Elser '10 Nick began juggling in middle school after receiving a juggling set for Christmas. He didn’t learn any new tricks until he moved to a boarding school in Hong Kong for high school, at which point he learned club juggling and passing. If the past month is any indication of the procrastination that juggling can be for a student, Nick is sure to be a great juggler (and student) after four years at Cornell. Greg Billing '08 Always in fierce, yet health, competition with his younger brother, Greg learned to juggle 3 balls in high school and quickly found his passion in life. With his brother and friend, Greg has performed for over 2000 people in the last few years in a zany street performing trouped named Vespertilian. Currently the president of the Cornell Juggling Club, Greg is the primary organizer of the 10th Annual Big Red JuggleFest, a festival that brought over 300 jugglers to Ithaca the 10th-12th of November. Jon Billing Mastering many life skills in elementary school, juggling being one of them, Jon discovered a perfect combination of the mental and physical challenge that is juggling. Jon has always tried to be one step ahead of his older brother, he enjoys teach young kids to juggling while perfecting seven balls and five clubs – a very difficult feat. Patrick Morse '07 In high school, Patrick joined a youth group known as Make-A-Circus where he performed as an acrobat and learned how to juggle. Currently the Treasure of the Cornell Juggling Club, Patrick is charged with the grueling task of preventing Greg from blowing all the Juggling Club’s money on his fiendish pixy stick addiction. Patrick’s inability to sit still, combined with his propensity for throwing things at people, have made him a life long juggler whose boyish wonder will never age. |
