Odyssey Games and Hobbies (or just "Odyssey") specializes in games, and carries a variety of tabletop/board games, collectible card and miniature games, role playing games, miniature games, and traditional games. They will do special orders if they don't have the item in stock. Since the move to Providence Hobbies, there is no longer a 10% discount for Games Club members, and there is no space for gaming in the store. Talks are underway to restore the 10% discount on games, so this may be available again in the future. They run Magic: The Gathering tournaments on Sundays on the second floor of Autumn Leaves Used Books, on the Commons, across Cayuga Street and a few storefronts up. Limited gaming space is available in Autumn Leaves at other times for a nominal fee.

There's at least two great options, both downtown: Comics for Collectors on Aurora Street and Odyssey Games and Hobbies on the Commons. Both stores are independent and locally owned, and we encourage patronage of both! There are other locations in town where you may also find games, but their selection is more limited.

Added lines 1-19:

Where can I buy games locally?

There's at least two great options, both downtown: Comics for Collectors on Aurora Street and Odyssey Games and Hobbies on the Commons. Both stores are independent and locally owned, and we encourage patronage of both! There are other locations in town where you may also find games, but their selection is more limited.

Comics for Collectors
207 North Aurora Street
(607) 272-3007
http://www.comicsforcollectors.com

Comics for Collectors (or "C for C") specializes in comic books, but also carries collectible card and miniature games, role playing games, and a limited selection of tabletop games. They will do special orders, and club membership gets you 10% off games. They also have online ordering available.

Odyssey Games and Hobbies
115 East State Street/The Commons (on the second floor - enter through Autumn Leaves Used Books)
(607) 254-6074

Odyssey Games and Hobbies (or just "Odyssey") specializes in games, and carries a variety of tabletop/board games, collectible card and miniature games, role playing games, miniature games, and traditional games. They will do special orders, and club membership gets you 10% off games. They also have limited space available for gaming at the store.

The large chain bookstores in town - Barnes and Noble between Tops and Wegmans, and Borders at the Pyramid Mall - also carry some games. These are mostly of the book variety, although you'll find the occasional board game as well. Club membership bestows no special privileges at either of the chain bookstores.
