Since its founding, HALO has raised $25,000+ to buy medical equipment for hospitals and clinics all across the world.
HISTORY:
A group of eager students began HALO in the Spring of 2002 with hopes of being able to help save a life during their college career. They realized that healthy infants and children hold the potential of innovation, advancement and knowledge. By ensuring health and comfort for all children, we can make an investment in our future. That year, HALO donated neonatal equipment to Cayuga Medical Center - equipment that remains in use today. More importantly, through subsequent donations, HALO helped the hospital gain Level II status in order to care for babies born prematurely and with birth defects. | |
Hundreds of HALO-made baby blankets have reached such places like the local WICC center, Cayuga Med, villages in Bangladesh and Pakistan, clinics in Vietnam, shelters in North Carolina and Colorado and numerous other locations.
HALO has auctioned off over 300 pieces of art made and donated by Cornell students and faculty to help raise money for children in need.
