Rachel Perlman

Rachel Perlman

College: Agriculture and Life Sciences

Graduate Year: 2012

Rachel Perlman is a senior studying environmental science in College of Agriculture and Life Sciences. Although she dreads climate change, she's quite fond of star fruit, string cheese, and getting real mail. If she had her way, she'd spend her days in Costa Rica saving giant sea turtles. However, as Ithaca's sea turtle population is pretty low, she has resorted to a cappella, which she has been singing since high school (along with various choruses, madrigal choir, and of course singing in the shower). This Arlington, MA native joined hearsay in the Fall of 2008, singing "Brighter than the Sunshine" by Aqualung. These days, you can probably find her listening to Kings of Convenience, the norwegian band she's crazy about - they impressively take the spots of 20 out of her 30 most-played songs on itunes.
