Spring 2012: 10th Annual BioExpo

The BioExpo is an annual research symposium held by IBE in order to promote current research in biological, biomedical and environmental science. Along with poster presentations, BioExpo also features speakers from industry and academia, and a company showcase with networking opportunities. There is a cash prize for the winners along with some free food for all participating. Submit a simple 150-200 word abstract about your research here at Cornell. Then we will send you a poster template to fill in and get printed by BioExpo week. There is no oral presentation, just silent judging. You will just answer questions about your research asked by the judges and others. This is a great opportunity to have your research showcased to all of Cornell as well as to companies that will be attending!! See below for more information!

This academic year it will be held March 7th, 2012 in Duffield Atrium!

There will be CASH PRIZES for top entries!!

-Prizes are open to undergraduates and M.Eng students conducting Biological, Biomedical and Environmental Engineering research

-Not limited to engineering students

-Results do not have to be conclusive

-Posters will be displayed in exclusive poster gallery

Showing off your research is a great way for companies to see exactly what you do and winning the poster competition is a great thing to put on your resume! Get your abstracts in and please tell all your friends who are also involved in research to submit a short abstract and participate!

This event is open to the Cornell Community

We are also looking for event sponsorship. Duffield Atrium is a highly frequented building for Cornell engineers and would allow for an excellent networking and recruiting for your company. All sponsorship levels include an advertisement in the event's program, a booth during the day of the BioExpo at the company showcase, and a company information session either the evening before or after the day of the event.

Bronze Sponsorship ($50-$200)- Quarter page advertisement
Silver Sponsorship ($200-$450)- Half Page advertisement
Gold Sponsorship ($450-$700)- Full Page advertisement
Platinum Sponsorship (Over $700)- Full Page Advertisement, Company logo, bio, and link posted on IBE Cornell University Student Chapter website, and sponsorship for event's dinner. Although attendance is not mandatory, we would appreciate representation from your company at the BioExpo, and any level of sponsorship.

Third Place: Christine Yoon, BE '12 - "Effects of mechanical cues from the breast cancer microenvironment on host tissue progenitor cells"
