Cornell Film Club: Officers

Student Adviser

Daniel Fipphen dsf63@cornell.edu

Student Adviser main duty is to organize technical workshops designed to educate Club members, and to advise members on technical issues. The Student Adviser is expected to act as a supervisor during Film Club productions and should be present at shoots and production meetings whenever possible.

Publicity/Marketing

Elizabeth Davis ejd75@cornell.edu

The Publicity Manager keeps and develops a file of graphics and various blurbs about the club, and is responsible for the design, production, and distribution of any posters, flyers, or other promotional material required by the club. This responsibility also includes the management of the club list-serve, Facebook page, and website.

Treasurer

The Treasurer is charged with the maintenance and management of the Club bank account and Club funds. The Treasurer collects dues and maintains a list of registered members, which is circulated to other Board members upon request. The allocation of funds for various event and publicity needs falls under Treasurer jurisdiction, as does the research of fundraising opportunities and funding sources (such as from the SAFC) and subsequent application thereof.

Vice President

The Vice President acts as second in command and support to the President. The President and Vice President may act collectively to make Club decisions as outlined in the Constitution however the Vice President may make executive decisions and take on presidential duties in the appropriate event of the President's absence or unavailability.

President

Philip Wu plw39@cornell.edu

The President oversees general operation and efficiency of the Club and its officers. The President has specific focus on event development, organizing the club productions and acting as liaison between the club and university officials.

Coordinator

Theresa Wynn tfw27@cornell.edu

The Coordinator's responsibilities include logistical/managerial tasks such as taking minutes at Board meetings, room reservations for events, and managing equipment sign-out.
