MECA Boards MECA is split up into two governing boards to deal with issues for the Ithaca Muslim community. The Executive Board is a group of seven students elected by the congregation to take care of social events and the administration of the MECA student group. The Advisory Board is a group of four members of the Ithaca community who direct the community regarding Islamic decisions for events such as jumu'ah and Ramadan.
