Our Approach

D
.E.E.P. works in both China and the U.S. As Cornell students, we work on campus to hold charity events and fundraising activities to raise awareness and collect funds to support our education development projects in China, and we work in China every summer to directly engage in teaching and expanding education for students with limited educational opportunities. We collaborate directly with local governments and education departments to provide funding and training resources for rural educational development.

On the Cornell campus, we hold events to raise awareness of the lack of quality education in rural China and fundraise for education development projects. Learn more.

In China, our volunteer teams spend the summer teaching students whose opportunities for education are limited during the regular academic year. We accept applications from all Cornell undergraduate and graduate students and encourage interested students from any major or discipline to apply. Learn more.

Education Projects
We make annual donations to rural education using funds that we raise on campus. Since 2004, we have donated over $20,000 to build and improve schools, provide equipment and resources to underfunded schools, and sponsor students to complete their education.
