History
The Cornell Progressive is an independent student-run liberal publication at Cornell University. We also participate in campus dialogues through debates and other events in collaboration with other student organizations.
The Cornell Progressive was first published in 2000 under the name Turn Left. At that time, the conservative Cornell Review was the primary independent publication on campus. Turn Left's readership steadily increased over the next few years, due in part to its reporting of major issues on campus. Since February 2007, we have been known as The Cornell Progressive.
The Cornell Progressive prints four to five issues per semester, each with a circulation of 2500. We publish with support from Cornell University and Campus Progress / Center for American Progress (online at CampusProgress.org).
