USVC Event with The Big Idea Competition Finalists! Thu, Apr 09, 2009 05:00 PM @ Sage B11 (~01:00 hours) Featuring the finalists from The Big Idea Competition 2009.... The winner of last year's Big Idea Competition, Matt Ackerson, will also be presenting his award-winning pitch of his company Scrimple. Matt Wagner, the head coordinator and a judge of the Big Idea Competition, will be there to critique the pitches as well. Following the business pitches, there will be time to network with other students and the entrepreneurs at the event. This is a great chance for you to form relationships with other students as well as entrepreneurs and professors who can help you in your professional life.

Advion has 2 lines of business - an advanced chemistry microfluidic products company and bioanalytical contract research organization (CRO). Advion venture backers include Polaris, Skyline, Aisling Capital, Credit Suisse and Cayuga Venture Funds. We visited the company and met the CEO and board of director members to learn about entrepreneurship and venture capital.
